Work, health and gender of Early Childhood Education teachers in the Southern Region of Rio Grande do Sul.

This dissertation consists of an analysis of the relationships between gender, work and health of the teachers of Child Education in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. The study was anecdotal as to how the workload, including domestic work, which is nat-uralized as female work, has an impact on the health of these teachers, who take on func-tions both in the public and in the private spaces. To this end, the concepts of work, do-mestic work, gender and educational malaise were used. The dissertation was developed using a qualitative approach, using an analysis of the two-course of the teachers extracted from semi-structured interviews, carried out with 18 teachers from 9 schools of Child Education in 9 cities in the southern region of Rio Grande do Sul. It was concluded that precarious working conditions in schools, along with the high domestic demands, for which women are the main ones, if not the only ones responsible, lead these teachers to make a great effort, both physical and mental, leading to an overload of work and having an impact on the health of these women.Sem bolsaEsta dissertação consiste na análise das relações entre gênero, trabalho e saúde das professoras de Educação Infantil da Região Sul do Rio Grande do Sul. O estudo anali-sou como a sobrecarga de trabalho, incluindo aí o trabalho doméstico, naturalizado como trabalho feminino, impacta na saúde dessas professoras, que assumem atribui-ções tanto no espaço público como no privado. Para tanto, foram utilizados os conceitos de trabalho, trabalho doméstico, gênero e mal-estar docente. A dissertação foi desen-volvida a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando a análise do discurso das professoras extraídos de entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com 18 professoras de 9 escolas de Educação Infantil em 9 cidades da Região Sul do Rio Grande do Sul. Concluiu-se que as precárias condições de trabalho nas escolas, somadas as altas de-mandas domésticas, pelas quais as mulheres são as principais senão as únicas respon-sáveis, levam essas professoras a realizarem um alto esforço, físico e mental, acarre-tando uma sobrecarga de trabalho e tendo impacto sobre a saúde dessas mulheres
