The aim of this study was to reduce the time of germination and early development in seeds of Tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) used the experimental design with five treatments and four replications. The treatments were: T1 control, T2 soaked in sulfuric acid for 15min, T3 soaked in acetic acid (vinegar) for 20min, T4 soaked in alcohol for 15min and domestic and T5 placed in hot water at 70 ° C for 15 min. Each plot consisted of a sample of 33 seeds. The characteristics evaluated were: seedling height, root length, germination percentage and speed of germination, dry matter of shoot and root system.
