The aim of this doctoral dissertation is to develop a psychoeducational support model for special educators of non-urban, rural schools. Τhis model is based on the processes of distance-modern education, and it adopts the principles of direct feedback and guidance, who are better described as coaching. On a broad perspective, the model will provide psychoeducational support to special educators, regardless of geographical constraints, oriented to their specific and unique needs. Emphasis is also given on the frequency of services offered as well as on continuous formative assessment in order to enhance the effectiveness of special educators, for the benefit of their students with learning or other difficulties.
