Recent corporate scandals have brought the issue of Dark Leadership, or what is more commonly referred to as white-collar crime, to a societal forefront. However, the issue of Dark Leadership is not a new phenomenon. It is grounded in theoretical concepts that have been in existence for the better part of a century. These theoretical concepts form a framework for understanding Dark Leadership. This framework and the use of current criminal profiling techniques are believed to lead to a Dark Leader profile, associated with a psychopathic syndrome
