In the field of Remote Sensing, Unoccupied Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are emerging as powerful tools in the management of natural resources and landscapes. Imagery collected using UAVs, and digital elevation models that are derived from UAV imagery facilitate landscape mapping at temporal and spatial scales that are difficult to achieve using traditional satellite-based Remote Sensing techniques.
