This study compared the level of agreement and interrater reliability between novice and expert FMS evaluators from observing only the deep squat test. Sixty healthy subjects (36 females and 24 males) between the ages of 18-35 years performed the deep squat test and were scored by 20 FMS raters (experience levels ranging from five months to five years). All subjects who scored a 0 were eliminated from this study. Each of the subjects was video taped from the sagittal and frontal view. Data was determined using a Chi square test (p ≤ 0.05) and a Kappa statistic. The interrater reliability was considered less than chance agreement with a Kappa value = -0.009.
