Abstract

This thesis seeks to answer the question: Does the language of the soul have the ability to create a feminine space of understanding and relax ego defenses, thus creating the safety for the self-healing mechanism to be activated? The methodology used in this research is qualitative, utilizing both text-based and arts-based data with an alchemical hermeneutic approach. A combination of personal visions, poetry and depth psychology are used to examine the language of the soul, and suggests that if one can find a way to hear this voice, it contains the possibility of profound healing.
