The purpose of this project was to enhance a re-entry program for youth offenders being released from incarceration, to identify potential funding sources, and to write a grant to fund a program for the Los Angeles Youth Opportunity Movement. The proposed program provides services to youth offenders and their families to increase the likelihood that youth will make a successful transition to the community and avoid future criminal involvement. The interventions proposed here will strengthen the current program by adding empirically-supported family and group interventions. The actual submission and/or funding of this grant was not required for the successful completion of this project. Implications for social work practice are discussed
