The purpose of writing “A Comparison of Resistance and Openness to Change in Church Leadership through the 200 Barrier” is to integrate biblical and psychological research in church governance authorities to gain insight into church growth through the 200 barrier. This mixedmethod research used Shaul Oreg’s resistance to change scale employing a 6-point likert scale survey and four essay survey questions to gain further data. One hundred thirteen pastors and governance authority members were surveyed from 15 different churches. Nine of these churches were smaller than 200 in average attendance, and six of them were larger than 200 in average attendance.
