Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common irreversible form of dementia and accounts for 60–80% of all dementia cases. It is not a normal part of aging and causes memory problems and other cognitive dysfunctions that may result in unpredictable changes in behavior. AD can be caused by many factors.
