The current project presents the hardware implementation and experimental testing of a system that uses electroencephalography (EEG) signals to control the motions of a vehicle through a brain-computer interface device. The user's brain activity is monitored continuously by the NeuroSky MindWave headset, and the EEG signals are processed and provided as inputs to the vehicle control system. The brain functions of interest are the user's attention level, meditation level and ocular blink rate. The values of these signals are transmitted to a microcontroller, which will command the vehicle's motor to initiate motion, stop, or change direction based on the user's brain activity.
