The goal of this research project is to determine anti-immigration party strength within the European Union. The question of concern is whether or not right-wing parties are stronger because of the changing nature of immigration -- primarily due to the speed at which individuals are moving across borders, the cultural make-up of those individuals, and the governments' inability to keep pace and adapt policies on immigration. The research will use case studies of anti-immigration parties in United Kingdom, Germany, and France to determine the degree of influence not only within their own countries but within the European Union itself.
