The purpose of this paper is to present a comprehensive look on the key factors that may encourage higher learning institutions to adopt green technology. An extensive literature review was conducted and found a research gap in the area of green technology adoption by higher learning institutions in Malaysia. Based on this premise, the authors set out to propose a green technology adoption framework. Extensive literature reviews resulted in the identification of five constructs: cost, environmental concern, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and research involvement.
