This thesis presents solutions on automated processing and patterns for time-based hypermedia. While there is a good consensus on processing and patterns for traditional hypermedia (i.e. the World Wide Web), when time constraints are taken into account (e.g. hyperlinks attached to a video), the increased complexity must be dealt with. A specific domain relates to Digital Talking Books (DTB). They bring blind peoples analog audio books to the digital domain, with additional features such as table of contents and bookmarking. They can also be enriched with addendum material (e.g. images, videos), allowing for a wider user spectrum and usage scenarios.
