In our study we aim to increase platinum (Pt) utilization through an enhancement of the three-phase boundary of electrode layer to reduce the use of valuable Pt catalyst and cost of PEM fuel cell. Thus, Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF)/graphene oxide nanofiber composites are produced according to the electro-spinning technique, then Pt is deposited onto the nanofiber mats in chemical reduction. It is expect that electrospun structured Pt/graphene plays an important role as catalyst support by mitigating CO poisoning risks and reducing cost.
