10 páginasPolyurethanes were synthesized from polyols derived from castor oil (CO) and isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) with NCO/OH=1; different flame retardants were added in different proportions. Polyols (P0 and P1) were obtained from a transesterification reaction of castor oil with pentaerythritol. It was added to the polyurethanes additives such as aluminum hydroxide (AH) and molybdenum oxide (OM) in order to evaluate the effect as flame retardant.
