The struggle for recognition in Honneth: perspectives of a social philosophy.

This work focuses on Honneth's category of recognition in search of perspectives of a social theory. In this sense, Honneth investigates the fundamental assumptions that give rise to the category of recognition as a criterion for justice. Honneth seeks in young Hegel, from Jena, to reinterpret the concept of ethics as the foundation for a social philosophy and presents the category of conflict as the basis of the concept of struggle for social recognition. In this reconstruction, the author also assesses the elements that affect the indeterminacy of individual freedom. This diagnosis allows Honneth to identify the sociological deficit of Critical Theory. To do so, Honneth says that intersubjective conflict allows subjects to seek recognition, that is, it is through the struggle for recognition, and in the pursuit of self-realization of their capacities, that subjects will be able to construct their own autonomy and their integrity. Honneth thus distinguishes the different intersubjective spheres found in the concept of ethics and will present the fundamental principles for the emergence of a social theory motivated by the struggle for social recognition.Sem bolsaA dissertação se centra na categoria do reconhecimento em Honneth em busca de perspectivas de uma teoria social. Nesse sentido, Honneth investiga os pressupostos indispensáveis que fazem emergir a categoria do reconhecimento enquanto critério para a justiça. Através disso, Honneth busca no jovem Hegel, de Jena, reinterpretar o conceito de eticidade como fundamento para uma filosofia social e apresenta a categoria do conflito como base do conceito de luta por reconhecimento social. Nesta reconstrução, o autor também avalia os elementos que incidem na indeterminação da liberdade individual. Esse diagnóstico permite a Honneth identificar o déficit sociológico da Teoria Crítica. Para que isso possa ser feito, Honneth diz que o conflito intersubjetivo permite que os sujeitos busquem o reconhecimento, ou seja, por meio da luta por reconhecimento, e, na busca da autorrealização de suas capacidades, é que o sujeito será capaz de construir sua autonomia, sua integridade. A partir disso, Honneth distingue as diferentes esferas intersubjetivas encontradas no conceito de eticidade e apresentará os princípios fundamentais para o surgimento de uma teoria social motivada pela luta por reconhecimento social
