This dissertation presents a creation process in performance which considers ancestry, affects, and the body as a mode of dismissing the sedimentability of the memory. The research project, developed in the Master Graduate Program in Visual Arts at UFPel, aims at the creation of meetings which were placed in the researcher’s artistic-visualbody production. Hence, the research develops the concept of things-memory, which starts from gestures, affects and ancestry. The project is framed around the works Mandiocal, O que é Daqui? Processos e Trajetos, Percursos Rurais e Urbanos, Voz e Matéria, Avó, Perfor(mar), Escalda Pés, and Tramóia.
