Tourism represents a continuously growing sector of the economy and is often considered as a partial solution to the economic problems existing in a territory, and as a tool to increase the employment levels of a given area. These are some of the reasons why the tourism sector has been the subject of government grants. The aim of this chapter is to realize a preliminary evaluation of the impact, in economic-social terms, of grant policies in Apulia in favour of operators in the tourism sector.
