This paper describes the feasibility of the latent heat transportation system using Phase Change Material (PCM) to recover waste heat at high temperature over 300℃ in the steelworks and to supply it to distillation tower of BTX. Candidates of PCM for the system were determined experimentally. Moreover, the proposed system was theoretically analyzed from three viewpoints-energy requirement, exergy loss and CO_2 emissions and compared to the conventional heat supply system under reasonable assumptions. As a result, binary eutectic mixtures of NaOH-Na_2CO_3 was the best PCM candidate for the system from phase change point, latent heat and cost.
