There are a growing number of fish-borne parasitic infections and hypersensitivity reactions following intake of viable parasites. Anisakidae (Anisakis, Pseudoterranova and Contracaecum) are by far the most prevalent macroparasites in fish products worldwide and causes human parasitic infections commonly associated to this consumption.Peer reviewe
