Paleontological and archaeological reconstructions are an open window to past life. Paleoart is an important tool to transmit scientific knowledge to all kinds of people, from primary schoolkids to paleontology specialists. Although the scientific rigor of anatomical reconstructions is usually very high, this strictness does not apply to paleosurface and paleolandscape reconstructions. Geomorphological, stratigraphic, sedimentological and geometric studies are essential to fully understand paleosurfaces and paleolandscapes. Throughout this study, we explain a step by step method proposal to develop exact and detailed paleolandscape depictions.Peer reviewe
