The present thesis is part of a long-term objective to control the drying step of ceramic green bodies in real-time. Given this general aim, the present work is based on two complimentary parts. The first part deals with the measurement of drying parameters (sample temperature, moisture content and dimension changes by an optical method). Then, since the ultimate objective of this work is the construction of a numerical model, an experimental evaluation of physical properties involved during drying is made for input into the model.
