Tarsal tunnel syndrome is an entrapment neuropathy of posterior tibial nerve under the flexor retinaculum. Patients generally present with paresthesias on the plantar side of foot and fingers and in the distal kruris. The causes of tarsal tunnel syndrome are space occupying lesions within or around the tunnel which exert pressure to the nerve, ankle deformities, systemic illnesses, trauma or lesions of the nerve itself. In this study a case of tarsal tunnel syndrome due to bilateral lipoma which was treated surgically is presented. © 2010 Düzce Medical Journal
