In the framework of pre-service and ongoing training processes for teachers, who implement Content and Language Integrated Learning (AICLE/CLIL/EMILE) programmes, the content of this article focuses on the problem of a common shared formulation of the objectives, as key components of the professional teaching acts of planning and intervention. That formulation is conceptualized as a complex scientific practice, which should be led by the pursuit of the integration of competency-based learning regarding subject content and linguistic-discursive elements of the school-section language or languages, in terms of know and know-how.
