Information regarding the genomes of bacteriophage of Burkholderia pseudomallei is still limited with few genomes sequenced. Other bacterial species have been proved to have lysogenic bacteriophage that play a clear role in virulence, but this is not the case with B. pseudomallei (Summer et. al., 2007) and further investigation is warranted.
