Health issues of Travellers

The natural environment is one of the tourism's most important attractions. Although much has been discussed in relation to tourism's mainly negative impacts, environmental hazards for tourists are still severely underresearched. Paradoxically, precisely what attracts visitors can also cause them great harm. Environmental health risks cover a wide spectrum. Physical hazards include changes in barometric pressure or temperature. Volcanoes, earthquakes, or avalanches are part of a range of geological hazards. Biological health risks concentrate on the contact with animals or plants. Some incidents happen due to unforeseeable accidents. On the other hand, unfortunately, a large proportion of injuries and deaths are caused by people's ignorance and carelessness. Being in a holiday mood or influenced by alcohol or drugs may result in a misjudgment of risks. There is an urgent need for more and detailed research so that pretravel advice to tourists can be updated, and modifications at the destinations protect tourist and locals alike
