Dual-grid level-set method (DGLSM), originally proposed for diffuse-interface LSM, is presented here for sharp-interface LSM-called as sharp-interface dual-grid level-set method (SI-DGLSM). Numerical methodology is presented in detail, with a finite-volume-method-based generic formulation. Performance study is presented for the novel SI-DGLSM as compared to the DI-DGLSM and the SI-LSM, by comparing the numerical results with in-house/published experimental/numerical results on five different two-phase flow problems. Accuracy of the partially refined SI-DGLSM is close to that of the fine-grid-based at a computation cost which is close to that of the coarse-grid-based SI-LSMC
