Non-verbal communication in the teachinglearning process: the role of the teacher

En este artículo pretendemos poner de manifiesto la relevancia de la comunicación no verbal (CNV) en los contextos didácticos. El tema se aborda en dos partes: en la primera se expone el papel de la CNV del profesor en los procesos de enseñanza–aprendizaje; en la segunda se presentan algunas de las competencias que, en el ámbito de esta comunicación, debe poseer un docente para poder llevar a cabo una enseñanza más eficaz. Éstas las centramos en el control de: a) el espacio y la distancia; b) el cuerpo y el lenguaje corporal.This article aims to highlight the importance of nonverbal communication (NVC) in didactic contexts. The issue is divided in two parts: the first discusses the rol of the NVC of the teacher in teachinglearning processes; the second are some of the skills, in the area of this communication, that a teacher must possess to be able to carry out more effective teaching. These focus on the control of: a) the space and distance; b) the body and body language
