Formare nelle Piccole Scuole

Teacher training programs “affect the evolution of the school system and thequality of its results” (Porcheddu, 1990). This concerns in particular geographicallyisolated contexts where teachers are often left out of systemic actionsdevoted to professional development. This article presents a training coursefor and with teachers belonging to the Small Schools Movement, which isaimed at contributing to the dissemination of an innovative teaching methodthat pays attention to breaks during school activities, mainly in multi-ageclassrooms. In fact, they have a relevant didactic value as part of a teachinglearningmethodology that grounds the demonstration of its effectiveness inneuro-scientific discoveries. From the design of the training model to thefeedback of the practices realized by the involved teachers in their dailyteaching, this contribution intends to provide the reader with the completeflow of a process that has been designed and implemented with a view to thegrowth and the development of the educational community built around it.La formazione degli insegnanti “condiziona le modalità di evoluzione del sistemascolastico e la qualità dei risultati a cui quest’ultimo adduce” (Porcheddu,1990), ancor di più nelle realtà geograficamente isolate in cuioperano docenti spesso messi a margine di azioni di sistema di valorizzazionee aggiornamento professionale. L’articolo presenta un percorso formativorealizzato per e con i docenti del Movimento delle Piccole Scuole alfine di contribuire alla diffusione di una pratica didattica innovativa che restituiscaanche alle pause, necessarie quando si opera soprattutto in pluriclasse,un valore didattico in quanto parte di una metodologia diinsegnamento-appendimento che fonda la dimostrazione della sua efficacianelle scoperte neuroscientifiche. Dalla progettazione del modello formativoalla restituzione delle pratiche realizzate dai formandi nella loro didatticaquotidiana, il contributo intende fornire al lettore il flusso completo di unprocesso che è stato pensato e realizzato in un’ottica di crescita e sviluppodella comunità educante costituitasi intorno ad esso
