The focus of this paper is to present a comparative study of students' perceptions on project-oriented design based learning in engineering education. The paper is part of a continuing research process towards the development of a framework for the new Deakin engineering learning and teaching model, Project Oriented Design Based Learning (PODBL). PURPOSE The undergraduate engineering students perceptions from different levels of engineering discipline helps the School of Engineering, Deakin University to practice and enhance a design based learning approach across its curriculum.
