This paper will evaluate the suitability offused deposition modeling (FDM) of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) patterns for use in investment casting. The focus is on integration with existing foundry practices. It is a combined industry/university project with the case studies performed at the industrial sites with university produced patterns.
