Purpose: This study aims to identify the critical determinants of successful implementation of a kerbside waste management system in a metropolitan city council in Melbourne. Design/Methodology/Approach: The critical case sampling method is used to identify the case for this study. Eight determinants of kerbside waste management were identified and used in this study. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology, which integrates simultaneously qualitative and quantitative information for prioritizing alternatives when multiple criteria must be considered, is used for data analysis.
