Effect of Experimental Surgery on Mandibular Growth in Syrian Hamsters

Enucleation of the incisor germinal center and extraction of molars in the mandibles of young hamsters produced a significant decrease in the size of the mandibular body, loss of normal occlusion, and a shift of the mandibular body medially and cranially.
