Assessment of Guidance/ Counselor Programs: Some Help from a National Study

The public demand for accountability in all educational programs mandates the assessment of counseling and guidance programs. Assessment of such programs can be a difficult task, however, because of the potentially confidential nature of counselor/student interactions and the absence of a national data base.
