Wet-Chemically synthesized colloidal nanocrystals are promising room temperature non-Classical light sources. This work is devoted to the study of the optical properties of a particular type of colloidal nanocrystals, called dot-In-Rods, in which a spherical Cadmium Selenide (CdSe) core is surrounded by a rod-Like Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) shell. By studying single dot-In-Rods at room-Temperature with a confocal microscope, a complete characterization of the optical, and especially quantum optical, properties of dot-In-Rods is provided for several geometrical parameters.
