Algorithmics of motion is a fundamental part of robotics. It deals with the development of methods to compute, simulate and analyze motions of physical systems such as articulated mechanisms or mobile robots. Nevertheless, these methods can be applied to other problems beyond robotics. Indeed, a significant part of my activities are focused on interdisciplinary research in the areas of structural bioinformatics and materials science. My main methodological contributions concern motion planning and simulation algorithms for complex systems.
