The cryogenic pump development involves aerodynamic design analysis and testing of pump components like Inducer and Impeller.The pump consists of a screw type Inducer and bladed impeller down stream.The number of vanes in the Inducer section and in the impeller section differs in order to optimize the cavitation characteristics of the pump.Determination of velocity distribution along blade surfaces,and hence the local static pressure,will be used to evaluate the possible occurrence of cavitation.This will help in a more realistic prediction of turbo pump performance to meet the design requirements.Computer codes are available for flow analysis through turbopump.These codes are very useful in design optimization of pumps
