The results of an investigation to obtain understanding13; of the role of pitch- motion cue on flying are reported here. The human operator's activity in compensatory tracking experiments with visual plus motion cues and only visual cue stimulii has been modelled using time-series analysis. As a result of this approach the discrete-time parametric models have been obtained. These models have been transformed into frequency-domain descriptions and their pertinent constants evaluated. On the basis of the repeatability of operator's performance and activity and accuracy of the models it has been observed that the removal of pitch-motion cue, while retaining only the visual cue results in degradation of his control behaviour
