Survey of the ecology and management of the Sturgeon, Pigeon and Black Rivers within the Pigeon River Country State Forest.

The Pigeon, Sturgeon, and Black rivers comprise an important resource. Famed especially for trout fishing, these rivers also provide other recreational opportunities and are central to the ecological health of the Pigeon River Country State Forest area (PRCSF). Wise management and protection of the qualities of these rivers requires a broad knowledge base. The following report addresses this need by providing site-specific information on a variety of physical, chemical, and biological components which make up the riverine resource.
