The Pigeon, Sturgeon, and Black rivers comprise an important resource. Famed especially for trout fishing, these rivers also provide other recreational opportunities and are central to the ecological health of the Pigeon River Country State Forest area (PRCSF). Wise management and protection of the qualities of these rivers requires a broad knowledge base. The following report addresses this need by providing site-specific information on a variety of physical, chemical, and biological components which make up the riverine resource. The aesthetic features, streambank vegetation, water quality, benthic flora and fauna, and trout habitat potential of two sites on each of the three river systems will be described and evaluated.http://deepbl...
