In this work a physically based model describing the anelastic behaviour and nonlinear unloading in Advanced High Strength Steels (AHSS) is proposed. The model is fitted to the experimental data obtained from uni-axial tests on a dual-phase high strength steel grade (HCT780). The results show a good agreement between the model and the experimental data
