Surveyor's recognition in the society

In the thesis we addressed the position of surveyor in modern Slovenian society. First part of the theoretical literature review describes the beginnings of geodesy and important events and surveyors in our territory until 1945, while in the second part we summarized problems and possible solutions regarding situation of surveyors and geodesy, based on modern professional and other magazines. In the following practical part of the thesis we made empirical research of the position of surveyor in Slovenian society. For this aim, we made a poll in which we examined knowledge and experience of the interviewees about profession of geodesy and professionals surveyors. The results of the poll were analyzed and presented in graphs, cross-comparisons and assumptions were checked with appropriate statistical tests. At the end of the thesis we evaluate the results and highlight some interesting conclusions
