Analysis of technologies and marketplace of commercial high - resolution earth observation satellites

A detailed review of technological features and capabilities of currently most advanced optical satellites in terms of spatial resolution was done. Technical data of selected satellites was gathered among witch, the most advanced ones are operated by company DigitalGlobe. \ud In the second part of this analysis we reviewed the available services of individual high-resolution imagery providers in the context of historical development. Besides purchase of basic images, a user can choose among a wide variety of different products and services, depending on his needs in terms of quality and delivery of images etc. A comparison of prices and different types of orders available to the end user was made. \ud In the last part, a review of current state of high-resolution remote sensing market is made. Trends that are occurring due to technological advancements, participation of new service providers and a decrease in governmental financing, is contribut ing to wider range of available services, faster delivery and better accuracy of imagery
