National Park Service (NPS) units across the U.S. receive hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, but visitor demographics have generally not matched the increasing diversity of the U.S. population. The purpose of this study is to provide the NPS and community-based organizations (CBOs) with useful information and tools to improve their outreach efforts through partnerships. This study focuses on the Los Angeles metropolitan area because of its diverse population and relative proximity to several national park sites.
