International audienceIn Europe, a lot of spaces (mainly rural) have found for 10 years the way of positive growth after several decades of decrease. However, this recovery should not hide the continuous decline of such territories. Moreover, this apparent demographic renewal has to be questioned in order to imagine its durability.The goal of this article is to explore the demographic dynamics of four States of the South of Europe (Portugal, Spain, France and Italy) during the two last decades.
