13th IAEA Technical Meeting on Energetic Particles in Magnetic Confinement Systems, Peking Univ, Fus Simulat Ctr, Beijing, PEOPLES R CHINA, SEP 17-20, 2013International audienceThe effective sputtering yield of Be (Y-Be(tot)) was determined in situ by emission spectroscopy of low ionizing Be as function of the deuteron impact energy (E-in = 25-175 eV) and Be surface temperature (T-surf = 200 degrees C-520 degrees C) in limiter discharges carried out in the JET tokamak. Be self sputtering dominates the erosion at high impact energies (E-in > 150 eV) and causes Y-Be(tot) far beyond 1.
