This study aims to determine the timing of deformation and the amount of shortening in the northeast-trending Palmyrids blet (Syria) by 2D restored sections on regional and outcropped scale.First shortening (8 km) appears during Upper Maastrichtian/Eocene time.Toltal shortening is estimated at 20 km..The crustal shortening is assumed by the North Arabian plate boundary and inversion of Deep fault below Palmyrids graben.Cette étude détermine l'age du raccourcissement et son amplitude dans la chaine des Palmyrides en Syrie.Un premier raccourcissement de 8 km apparait au Maastrichtien, pour un raccourcissement total de 20 km, avec inversion des basins des Palmyrides et de l'Euphrates
