After the French minister in charge of space matters declared to be open to discuss about Ariane 6 design changes in Mai 2014, several new concepts have been proposed by the industry and analysed by agencies including DLR during the whole summer 2014. Discussions between the different actors at agency level (ESA, CNES, DLR, ASI) and at industry level led to the development of a new Ariane 6 launcher, with a PHH architecture, which was officially agreed upon on December 2nd, 2014 in Luxemburg at the ESA council at ministerial level.
