One of this techniques is a high-speed video stroboscopy providing the real-time slow-motion display of fast periodic events without a strobe light. The principle of this system will be described and some results of different application will be presented in form of short video clips. Moreover the principle a novel Image Pattern Correlation Technique (IPCT) known also as Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and its practical application for the in-flight 3D deformation measurement of the aircraft wings and propellers will be demonstrated. In the case of the propeller investigation a special camera system rotating together with the propeller has been designed, manufactured and tested.
