The energy systems analysis group at the DLR develops long-term scenarios using target-oriented approaches. Comparing the present situation and targets for the future and taking into account potentials and costs of new technologies, economic, political and social realities, interests, and the resulting barriers or incentives results in largely consistent development paths which point out required measures to achieve a more sustainable energy system.
